ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH
Life is beautiful – though we don't always feel that way. Sometimes we find ourselves in difficult situations: facing conflicts, feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or even on the verge of falling apart. Life tests us again and again, and sometimes we struggle. In these moments, we can either rise to the challenge and learn something new from the experience, or we can get stuck in an unhelpful state of mind, feeling like our life is a failure. Deep down, we all want to connect, achieve our goals, feel useful, and maintain balance with the people we love. Change is in our hands – but we need to learn how to use our inner resources. Sometimes it's hard to do that alone, because we're only human. We thrive when we're connected to others. We also need each other as mirrors, to see ourselves more clearly and genuinely. To be authentic and resolve our inner conflicts, we need to discover our blind spots – the places in our psyche where our painful and unwanted parts live. We can only do this if we feel safe, accepted, and loved. From that place of safety, we can learn to be conscious, take responsibility, and stop looking for scapegoats.
My approach to mental health is deeply rooted in the work of Carl Rogers, a humanistic psychologist and educator. He wrote extensively about how people live and grow. Rogers believed that humans have one basic motive: to fulfill their potential and achieve the highest level of being they can. People can flourish and reach their potential when their environment is supportive enough. He also emphasized that humans need social connection, and that taking responsibility and being genuine are key to supporting one another well. This means being honest, staying conscious of our emotions and inner processes, and communicating them in a way that aligns with our behavior. In a helping relationship, trust and reliability are the two most important factors. When we work toward mental well-being, we're ultimately working toward becoming more genuine and self-aware – because that's how we create authentic, balanced relationships with ourselves and others.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE SESSIONS
I primarily offer my services online. If you'd prefer to meet in person, just let me know – and if we can make it work, we will!
For online sessions, you'll need a camera and a stable internet connection.
Sessions are 50 minutes long. If you arrive a little late, that's not a problem – but please keep in mind that we'll still need to end on time. If you cancel a session less than 24 hours in advance, the full fee will be charged.
Payment can be made by bank transfer. For pricing details, feel free to contact me!
GETTING STARTED
If you decide to reach out for help, please write a brief paragraph describing your situation and any questions you may have. I'll get back to you as soon as possible, and we can arrange our first appointment.
The first session is all about getting to know each other. I'll listen to why you came to me, and we'll introduce ourselves. I'll explain how the helping process works and what you can expect. We'll talk through your concerns, and I'll be especially interested in your personal goals – if you're not sure what they are yet, don't worry, I'll help you figure that out. Once we have a clearer picture, we'll discuss timing, how often we should meet, and how many sessions might be needed. We'll make a verbal agreement, and I generally recommend sticking with the process rather than quitting mid-way – but of course, this is always your choice. Throughout our work together, you'll find the keys to your conflicts in your own experiences and reactions. The real help comes from understanding what's happening and why.
After the first session, if either of us feels that I'm not the right fit for you – and you're interested – I'll be happy to help you find another professional.
ABOUT MY APPROACH
My counseling is based on Mental Health Theory and the work of Carl Rogers. The core values of this process are trust, honesty, and authenticity.
Please note! I do not treat mental illness, practice therapy, or make diagnoses. Instead, I help you improve your self-awareness through empathy, so you can access your inner resources and bring them to the surface – empowering you to take responsibility for your own life. I act as a mirror. I share what I see and feel about you, honestly and without judgment. I only give advice when I feel it's truly needed, and I never make decisions for you – it's not my role to tell you which direction to go. I trust in your ability and responsibility to know what's best for you. I won't judge you. I listen with acceptance and trust, fully present and focused on you and your concerns. Remember: honesty is the best helper. Through it, you can reach and understand your inner world more deeply.

HOW I BECAME A HELPER?
MY PERSONAL JOURNEY
I was 23 years old when I first encountered mental health theory. I was struggling with my own inner conflicts when I met my helper. The strength I found in those conversations – the self-reflection, the growing self-awareness – helped me transform both my private and professional life. As a piano teacher, I began to realize that my students' mental state mattered more to me than achieving results on a strict timeline. After all, we can only play music from the heart if we can open up, concentrate, and empathically connect with our own feelings and those of others. This realization led me to pursue formal training, and I graduated in mental health counseling at Károli Gáspár University. Since then, I've been helping people through private talking sessions. I also worked as a counselor in the Lifestyle Medicine Program at the Budai Allergy Center in Budapest. Today, I'm honored to walk alongside others on their journey toward greater self-awareness, balance, and healing.
